St. Antönien, or rather our hamlet Partnun, lies at 1769 m and offers us an absolutely snow-sure and varied touring area. All tours start right on our doorstep, so we don't need to make long journeys. The Berghaus Sulzfluh offers us guaranteed quiet rooms, a wood-heated hay-flower whirlpool in front of the house, which has been awarded a prize by Switzerland Tourism, and fine food to ensure that our physical well-being is not neglected after the tours.
Day 1: Meeting point at 8.45 a.m. in Landquart railway station. Joint journey by bus from the mountain sports school to St. Antönien Rüti. Organised luggage transport to Berghaus Sulzfluh, distribution of rental equipment, equipment check. Introduction to the handling of the safety equipment and the ski touring technique. With a first ascent we get used to the material, the technique and the snow. And we enjoy the descent to our accommodation in Partnun! Checking into our rooms and dinner. After dinner follows a theoretical introduction to tour planning and avalanche prevention.
600 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 hours.
Day 2 to 4: Depending on the snow, weather and avalanche conditions, we will climb the following peaks around St. Antönien and Partnun:
- Rotspitz, 2517 m, or Riedchopf, 2552 m
