Senja - an island dream north of the Arctic Circle

Norway - Europe

Hamn i Senja, Senja, Norway - Hamn i Senja, Senja, Norway
14.03 - 23.03.2025
Senja is the second largest island in Norway and is often referred to as Norway in miniature. Here you will find everything that makes ski touring in Norway so fascinating and attractive. Dramatic fjord landscapes, a wild and steep coastline, picturesque fishing villages, numerous attractive ski tour destinations and, of course, the magical Northern Lights or aurora borealis. The island of Senja is also very sparsely populated, offers plenty of space and delights with its unspoilt natural landscape. In short, a perfect ski touring destination that has nothing to hide from its famous neighbours Lofoten and Lyngen Alps. Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of this island!
The island of Senja is an exceptional ski touring destination. Located north of the Arctic Circle, it offers a wide range of different ski tour destinations in a very small area. From gentle pleasure tours to open, wide slopes to wild, rocky peaks with their steep gullies and flanks that plunge unstoppably into the sea, there is something for every taste. Most tours start at sea level on the coast and take us to attractive peaks high above the fjords. Some peaks can be perfectly combined so that two peaks can be climbed in one day. Our accommodation is right by the sea and offers us the relaxation we need, combined with breathtaking views. With a bit of luck, we might even see the famous aurora borealis, the northern lights. In any case, the low sun, the sea and the Arctic atmosphere will captivate and inspire us!
