An exciting day with many experiences and impressions awaits you. Learn all about the equipment for climbing outdoors on real rocks, enjoy the game of balance and gravity on the warm rock and the thrill of abseiling from lofty heights.
Playfully you learn all the important things about climbing outside on the right rock and in nature and the most important differences to indoor climbing. And the fun does not come too briefly! Special attention is paid to the safety of the climbers, be it in lead climbing, toprope climbing or belaying. An instructive and exciting day as a perfect introduction to climbing.

CHF 180.-   (per person / 4 - 6 Participants)

Included in the price is the course management by a patented mountain guide and all rental equipment. Not included are any transport costs.

Basic course rock climbing indoor and knowledge in lead climbing indoor desired. As well as a basic course 1 (toprope climbing) or basic course 2 (lead climbing) according to the contents of the IGKA (Interessengemeinschaft Kletteranlagen). This climbing day is also suitable for beginners.

Program

Teaching the basics of safety and rock climbing. Introduction to climbing technique, roping up, belaying, abseiling, climbing in the lead. After this course you will be able to climb simple routes in lead climbing and you will be familiar with the necessary rope and belay techniques.

Intended program:

Meet at 09.00 at the Sargans station or by appointment. Travel by bus from the mountain sports school to our rock climbing crag in the Rhine valley (for example Haldenstein, Sargans, Balzers, Brochne Burg and others).

After a first climbing and technique training we will learn or deepen the most important basic knowledge for climbing. Knot training, roping up, belaying, climbing technique, setting up stands, abseiling etc. In addition to climbing in toprope style (with rope securing from above), everyone can also try their hand at leading. With every climbing meter it is easier and the confidence in one's own ability and in the friction of the climbing finches rises to infinity......! An airy abseiling point is of course also part of the experience! Apart from climbing, you will also learn all kinds of interesting facts about equipment and material.
In the course of the late afternoon, you will be driven back to Sargans. Completion of the course and journey home.
